Brand new replacement mains power cord very similar to the original GHD cables with European plug. Suitable for newer GHD irons that use the Type 3 cable socket including GHD Mk5 (Gold) and some 4.2B, 4.2P, SS4.0 and MS4.0 models. Please see the Additional Images Tab for a picture of the socket used with this cable.

You can chose from a new replacement socket or a used but genuine socket.

Please note that this Type 3 Cable looks very similar to the Type 1 cable. Please make sure you are ordering the correct cable.

If you currently have a  Type 2 cable and socket this is the correct cable to replace them with, safer, and more reliable. Replace the cable and socket at the same time!

The price is exactly the same as the now discontinued Type 2 cable and socket.

This cable is not compatible with all 4.2B and SS4.0 straighteners. Please check carefully which cable you need.

You must add some Electrolube CG60  grease to the cable socket connection, as shown in the extra pictures. This is available as an extra if you need it.

Your original GHD cable should have a Euro to UK adapter on it, which can be transferred by loosening a screw. If you don't have one of these, then they are available in the related products section below.
