Released in early 2022 around £119
This is an interesting model, outwardly it looks like the much older, possibly 10-15 years, GHD MK4 model.
However it has the latest GHD internals. All parts are different to the older MK4 models.
This probably is an attempt to get customers with older irons to upgrade to a familiar looking but totally different internally model.
The older MK4 models remain fully repairable where as this model is only partially repairable.
Please note the main and obvious difference on this model, the on/off button. It is a round tact switch with LED ring around the outside.
Here you can clearly see the model number on the label. Also notice the universal voltage of 110 - 240 volts AC. Great for overseas holiday use.

Here we see the new totally redesigned hinge area. With a single screw securing the arm covers.
The hinge caps are redesigned, thicker than all the older models and only these will fit!
The arm covers are secured with only one screw and at the other end is this plastic hook that secures this end to the arm.
This is where the plastic hook of the cover locates, it can be tricky to get in correctly.
Totally redesigned PCB. No other PCB fits so this is going to be a problem in the future if a pair suffer PCB failure.
Please note the use of soldered connections, this has not been seen on any GHD model since the very first irons some 20 plus years ago.
The plastic mounts are first secured with the metal clips that are easily removed. But right in the middle of each mount side is a plastic tag that secures the mount to the ceramic plate.
The mounts can NOT be slid off. You must carefully prise out the plastic in the center and unclip the mount. Even I managed to damage one as you can see.
To sum up.
As a new model these will be under warranty for the next two years.
If you accidentally damage the irons or the cable we may be able to help. Or perhaps if you have lost your receipt.
Other than the mains cable there are no parts that the home user can replace.
